  • The City of Los Angeles, Keep Los Angeles Beautiful, in partnership with Coca Cola, is implementing a free rain barrel distribution program for City of Los Angeles residents.   • Keep Los Angeles Beautiful announces its Spring Clean L.A. campaign.
  • 186th Street Elementary School was awarded a 2013 Keep Los Angeles Beautiful (KLAB) matching grant of $5,000 for its Alphabet Garden.
  • The Historic Lincoln Heights Industrial Zone Economic Development Corporation (EDC) was awarded a $2,500 matching grant from Keep Los Angeles Beautiful (KLAB).
  • Friends of Calahan Campus Beautification Project at Calahan Street Elementary School was awarded a $5,000 matching grant to renovate their campus courtyard and kindergarten Friendship Garden.
  • The Boyle Heights Mural Restoration Project of the Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles (MCLA) and muralist Raúl Gonzalez was awarded a $5,000 matching grant to restore half of a mural diptych entitled, “Painting the Importance of Life” with the second half restored by Mictlán Murals.
  • The Ocean Friendly Garden, located at the Beyond Baroque Literacy Arts Center in Venice, was awarded a $5,000 matching grant for its Ocean Friendly Garden.
